Where's my Motivation

About five months after the birth of my third son I am still not back to the level of physical fitness that I would like to be.  Before I know it  the summer will be here and I will still be stuck under this layer of fat.  I cannot let that happen.  So, this morning I got up and put my "This is Tae Bo" by Billy Blanks dvd in the dvd player.  Tao Bo has worked for me in the past so I am going to go that route again.

Me being a single mother of three boys ages 11, 5 and 5 months there just does not seem to be enough time in the day to get away to the gym to get in the much needed cardio.  The baby mostly will not let me leave his sight for very long and I cannot afford to hire a baby sitter just so that I can get an hour in at the gym.  So my only solution is to get up a little earlier than usual in the mornings while all of the boys are still asleep and spend an hour with Billy Blanks.  Then proceed to get myself ready for work and my boys ready for school and daycare.  All I need now is the motivation to do so and stick with it and be consistent.  This is where this blog comes in.  I will document my getting back into shape efforts right here for the world to see.  Everyday after my morning workout I will take a picture of myself post workout along with some words to express my level of motivation (or lack thereof) for the day.  Starting with today.

It became quite obvious that at 28 years old and after giving birth to three boys my fitness level is not where it used to be.  Especially since after only 10 minutes of working out with Billy Blanks and the "This is Tae Bo" dvd in a fury of jabs and upper cuts I found myself laying in the middle of my living room (where my coffee table should be) screaming at Billy begging him to stop.  I could have just hit the pause button but where is the drama in that.  However, I did finish the one hour workout and managed to crawl to the bathroom to take this picture.

No, I do not look happy.  Billy kicked my ass in that workout.  Well, day one is out of the way.  Follow me for 29 more days to see where I end up on day 30.  I am going for 60 days of daily 1 hour Tae Bo workouts.  Wish me luck!
